Broad Beach – Malibu

4600 sf. beach home, with detached 650 sf. guest house and pool completed in 2021.  Large light wells cut through the building volume to dramatically bring sunlight into the first floor living space.  Many interior walls were removed to reveal an open plan with post and beam architecture.  Detailed Japanese style tongue and groove joinery is used on the wood beam connections.  Exposed steel beams frame expansive glass walls that to open to the beach.
